This week the 2010 edition of the ISEA conference is starting in the Ruhr region of Germany. I will attend and participate on August 26th during the panel moderated by Kristoffer Gansing, “Press Delete: The Politics and Performance of Spam Culture”. I am very happy to meet Kristoffer, but also the other panelists, Jussi Parikka and Tony Sampson whose works in the field of Media Archeology and “Evil Media Studies”, are highly interesting to me, and Finn Brunton, whose research I have yet to discover. I wrote a short paper for the conference, that you can read here.
Also another exciting guest will be Danish musician/performer Goodiepal - i used to listen to music by him so i’m really thrilled he’s coming to join us. It might not have happened !

Cette semaine commence l’édition 2010 de la conférence d’ISEA, qui se tiendra cette année dans la région de la Rurh en Allemagne. J’y serai le jeudi 26 août pour participer à un panel organisé par Kristoffer Gansing : “Press Delete: The Politics and Performance of Spam Culture”. Ce sera l’occasion de rencontrer Kristoffer, un étudiant en fin de thèse (comme moi!) à K3, School of Arts and Communication, à l’Université de Malmö, mais aussi Jussi Parikka et Tony Sampson, dont les travaux dans le champ de la Media Archeology et des “Evil Media Studies” sont une source d’inspiration. Le dernier paneliste est Finn Brunton, dont je ne connais pas encore les recherches.
En invité bonus, le musicien/performeur Goodiepal (dont je recommande chaudement la musique) qui a bien failli ne pas pouvoir venir, suite à quelques petits soucis avec la police danoise à l’occasion de sa guerilla pour la libération des machines EVENTHIDE 800 ! (plus d’infos là).
